Speech is silver, silence is gold. The columnist for “Touche pas à mon poste” Sasha Elbaz was robbed, a few days after revealing on air that he had won several thousand euros. It was Cyril Hanouna who reported the mishap in his show on C8, Tuesday October 1.
“He called me this morning, he was in all his states, it was difficult for him,” he said before broadcasting on set a tape of “TPMP” from Friday September 27.
In this issue, Sasha Elbaz tells how he won “a big sum”. “One night I go to the casino, I win a big sum of money and they pay me in cash, I don’t know what to do with it, I’ve never had an amount like that in cash in my hands,” says -he. How much? 12,000 euros, he reveals. And to explain that he does not know where to store them at home, “in the cupboard”, “under the mattress”. “I hid them in my jeans, it went through the washing machine, all the bills were soaked. I took them all out [puis passés] in the dryer and I got them back,” he says.
Invited on the set of “TPMP”, a spokesperson for a police union recalled that “from the moment you become a public person, you become a priority target for this type of individual or this type of networks”. He added: “We know that the individual(s) acted very quickly, that they are experienced, they seemed to be very well informed.” According to him, there is a good chance that the trigger for the burglary was Sasha Elbaz’s revelations on television.
