Women’s centers play an essential role in our communities. They provide a safe space where women can come together, share their experiences, and find support. These places are places for women to gain power over their lives through autonomous popular education and the defense of their rights.
Hence the importance of holding our annual National Day of Quebec Women’s Centers.
On October 1, this national day dedicated to Quebec women’s centers will allow recognition throughout the province of the immense contribution of these centers to our society.
They are often at the forefront of struggles for equality, offering a variety of services.
This day is also an opportunity to raise awareness among the public and political decision-makers about issues affecting women.
