Kill two birds with one stone. And even three. Monday evening, elected officials from the Montceau municipal council unanimously voted for the sale of two plots of land. Plots located near the area still called “Jardiland”, between the commercial area and rue du Champ-du-Moulin.
This sale is dedicated to two projects. The first concerns the construction of a “medical reception bed” service. This involves the transfer of the service currently located on the hospital site. “Its premises are very dilapidated, the service will not be included in the new hospital and the construction of a new building had been planned for several years,” summarized Marie-Claude Jarrot, mayor of Montceau.
Proximity to the boulevard
The Le Pont association manages this service, responsible for welcoming people at the end of hospitalization but unable to return home. This new “Lam” will be built on a plot of 5,000 m2 sold at the price of €14.50 per m2 by the City. “This plot is close to all the amenities of the city center and is not far from the hospital center. In addition, it benefits from connection to all networks,” explains the elected official. The building will be built on the western part of the plot “near the boulevard”.
A better living environment
Secondly, the construction of a residence, following a call for projects, is envisaged in the same sector, on the neighboring plot. A file following a call for projects launched by the city at the beginning of the year for “the urbanization of the banks of Plessis”. “The construction program should contribute to improving the community living environment by ensuring the attractiveness of the city,” said Lionel Duparay, deputy mayor.
Apartments for young people
A group (GCBat/Lynx Architecture/Helios) proposed to build, on 5,000 m2 T1 and T2 type accommodation “for students, young professionals…”, on two or three floors. Work could begin in 24 months “but we are only at the beginning”.
Two key files which, according to Marie-Claude Jarrot, also have another function; reclaim a wasteland and cut a rodeo line. “It’s a wasteland where some people engaged in rodeos by crossing a bowling alley… We missed some terrible accidents. This summer, it was very complicated in this place! There, finally, we reinvest the place. And then, the view of the lake is magnificent, the proximity to the city center is correct. »
