The series “My Little Reindeer” on Netflix never ceases to fascinate the crowds. Among the fans, writer Stephen King, literary icon, explains why the program had such an impact on him.

Released in the greatest discretion, without promotion, the program became, in just a few days, a real success, accumulating millions of views around the world. That the American author is passionate about this story is ironic since he himself is at the origin of Miserya story of harassment, which multiplies the parallels with My Little Reindeer.
“Besides, Misery is a cartoon”
It is for this reason that the Times asked the writer to give his opinion at greater length through a few lines. He first recounts the words of an acquaintance who told him about My Little Reindeer: “Besides, Misery, your book and the film, they are cartoons.” That was all it took to arouse the curiosity of the master of horror.

Later, in his review, Stephen King returns to the monologue present at the end of episode 6 in these terms: “The confrontation between Donny’s disgust for himself and his self-esteem in this monologue makes this sixth episode one of the best things I have seen on television (or even in the cinema).”
“The best gift that My Little Reindeer can give us is that it allows us to understand why Donny took so long to speak. It’s not because Martha is a woman and it’s not because she’s overweight. But because in his heart, Donny thinks he deserves everything that happens to him. We feel empathy for him rather than impatience, and we feel empathy for Martha too. Although I wouldn’t have offered him a cup of tea.“
