For Jac Gautreau, a musician who worked with Fayo on two of his albums, the news of his death comes as a shock. According to him, Fayo’s songs like My Summer or Fricot Song are part Acadian musical vocabulary, folklore almost.

It’s one of the things I’ve done that I’m most proud of because he had an integrity and a simplicity in his way of wanting to express himself that resonated with people.continues the artist.

Jac Gautreau believes that Mario Fitness LeBlanc contributed to modern Acadian folklore like the 1755 group.
