More fear than harm. This Monday, September 30, 2024, late in the afternoon, a main gas pipeline was accidentally damaged during work at the Le Goyen hotel-restaurant, on the quays of Audierne (Finistère), causing a major leak gas on public roads.
Around thirty firefighters from the Quimper, Brest and Bannalec rescue centers, as well as around ten gendarmes and as many GRDF agents (1), were dispatched to the site.

Around twenty residents, located in the immediate vicinity of the hotel, were evacuated. Some were welcomed at the town hall. The other, in the Maritime Affairs room.
