a record participation for the meeting of the Archers of Bois d’Amour

Saturday April 20 and Sunday April 21, 2024, the Archers du Bois d’Amour organized a competition weekend on the outdoor shooting range of the Varenne stadium, rue du Clain. With 158 archers present, including many young people over suitable distances, the event constituted a participation record for a competition offered on the Saint-Benoît shooting range. The neighboring archery clubs of Lusignan, Poitiers, Smarves, Chauvigny, Châtellerault and Loudun were present, but also the clubs of Sallanches, Le Mans and Sarcelle for those further away. During the weekend, more than 200 starts were made, with archers able to shoot several times for a qualifying shot. Two distinct competitions were offered to participants, selective events for the French championships in Olympic shooting at 70 m and a federal shooting at 50 m. During this meeting, the local club Archers du Bois d’Amour particularly shone with several podiums in the departmental championship: Eliot Marchand, 3^e in U11; Delphine Pamier Sapanet, 2^e in senior ladies CL 2; Johanna Echouard, 3^e in senior ladies CL2; Frédéric Brocard, 1^er in senior men CL2; Jonathan Pointout, 3^e in senior men CL2. For the Olympic shooting at 70 m, Delphine Palmier Sapanet (1^D), Élodie Clément (2^e) and Caroline Delperier (3^e) monopolized the podium.
