This year, May 1 brings a lot of good news to Morocco. After the wage increases in the public and private sectors (Smig and Smag) recorded by the social agreement signed last Monday between the government and the unions, here comes the turn of a drop in diesel prices at oil distributors.
The drop recorded this Wednesday corresponds to around 25 cents for the price of diesel. The price of gasoline remained unchanged.
According to the latest survey carried out by Le360, on the morning of this Wednesday, in downtown Casablanca, diesel was priced at 12.79 dirhams per liter at Afriquia and Shell, and at 12.76 dirhams at Winxo. When these lines were published, service stations have not yet changed the price, set at 13.04 dirhams per liter.

To mitigate the impact of the surge in fuel prices on consumers’ purchasing power, the government has mobilized direct financial aid for the benefit of freight and passenger transporters, all categories combined (taxis, buses, trucks, tractors). road, etc.).
The support operation in favor of road hauliers continues with the launch, from Friday May 3, of a new wave of aid for the benefit of truckers, despite the relative relaxation of prices at the pump.
