The Hanoi People’s Committee has released a plan to hold a national celebration marking the 70th anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day (October 10).
Hanoi (VNA) – The Hanoi People’s Committee has released a plan to organize a national celebration marking the 70th anniversary of the Capital’s Liberation Day (October 10).
According to this plan, the celebration will take place on October 10 at the National Convention Center, in the presence of approximately 3,000 delegates.
The celebration will be organized in a solemn, economical and efficient manner, by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), the National Assembly, the Presidency of the Republic, the government and the Central Committee of the Fatherland Front and the authorities from Hanoi.
69 years ago, the residents of Hanoi enthusiastically welcomed the victorious army that liberated the city from colonial rule. This historic event marked the end of a long, difficult but glorious war of resistance of the Vietnamese people.-VNA
