After Emmanuel Guibert, Edmond Baudoin, Emmanuel Lepage, Jean-Claude Mézières, Régis Loisel, Riff Reb’s, Jean-C. Denis and Florence Cestac, the annual Maison de la BD workshop is supervised by Virginie Augustin.
This workshop is aimed at adults and young adults with an appetite for narrative arts. Virginie Augustin will share his working methods with the trainees. Each participant will come with their own equipment and projects. By addressing the techniques of composing a page, the rhythm, the author will develop the narration specific to the comic strip.
A student at CFT Gobelins, trained in cartooning, she collaborates with Disney studios. In 2001, Lupano offers him the script for the series Alim the Tanner. Eclectic, changing style depending on the projects, she participates in the comics collective BOUM Normal Peoplewritten by Hubertwhich she returned to in 2016 for Sir desires?. She begins the series 40 Elephants scripted by Kid Toussaint. In 2019, she produced solo, Iron chimeras in the lunar light, for the series Conan the Cimmerian. She finds Hubert to Joe The Pirate. She signs a Valérian “seen by”, written by Pierre Christin, around a humorous reflection on creation. Recently she participated in the series Small theater of operations, which honors the destiny of exceptional women forgotten from the two World Wars. Extremely talented, she achieves a breakthrough with a remarkable and freely inspired production.
Workshop on Friday June 7 from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday June 8, 2024 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
