At the level crossing, the driver lost control of his vehicle which violently collided with two cars parked on the left of the road. The impact sent the Audi spinning, which ejected two of the occupants, a man and a woman, both aged 19. Emergency services found them under a car parked on the right of the road.The Audi first hit two vehicles on the left of the road, approximately 200 meters before coming to a stop.
The Audi continued spinning until it came to a stop almost 200 meters after the first impact. If two other young men, aged 19 and 20, got out of the accident car on their own, slightly injured by the various impacts, the emergency services who arrived on site were unable to do anything for another 19 year old young man. , died on their arrival and incarcerated in the iron.
Numerous emergency services mobilized
Around twenty firefighters from Roanne, under the orders of Lieutenant Picard, as well as two Smur teams from Roanne hospital, were dispatched to the scene to take care of the victims. The young man and young woman, thrown from the car and very seriously injured, were transported to the hospitals of Saint-Etienne and Roanne in absolute emergency, their vital prognosis being in jeopardy at the time of their departure. The two young men with minor injuries were taken to the emergency department of the Renaison clinic in Roanne.Two of the five occupants came out slightly injured, two others were in absolute emergency, the fifth unfortunately died in the shock.
Joy Talbat, deputy mayor of Coteau, went to the site. The men from the police station have opened an investigation to determine the exact causes of this dramatic accident where gray areas remain to be clarified. The five victims all seem to live in Roannais.
