In a difficult accounting situation in the ranking, Nîmes Olympique hosted the National champion, Red Star. The Odonians were naturally favorites but were surprised by a goal from Ismaël Camara in the first period.

The Nimes took advantage of a sluggish start to the match from the Red Star players, crowned champions since the misstep of the Niort runner-up. The opening score logically came in the 13th minute of play thanks to a goal from Ismaël Doucouré. Mbina, Mbemba, Camara, the attacking trio who will repeatedly miss the opportunity to make the break.

Upon returning from the locker room, the Ile-de-France players showed a completely different face, forcing Tao Paradowski to make more decisive saves, notably on the hour mark with a ball saved at the post.

Note the only dark point of this evening, the injury exit of Mathis Picouleau in the second half. According to Adil Hermach, these would be severe cramps linked to the efforts made.
In the ranking, the Crocs are no longer relegated (11th with 3 points ahead of the relegation zone).

“It touches me that there were so many people at the stadium. Three points which are very expensive, against the big team in this championship. This week we had to reassure ourselves and believe in what we are offering on the pitch,” declared Adil Hermach, who was playing his third match on the Nîmes bench.

The Nîmes technician also highlighted the investment of young Khalid and Lemaangr, who came from the reserves to strengthen the first team.
