Jamel Debbouze and Mélissa Theuriau: their love for Paris

Born in Trappes, Jamel Debbouze has long been a lover of Paris, an affection shared by his wife Mélissa Theuriau. Originally from Isère, the journalist had already taken up residence in the City of Lights long before meeting Jamel. In an interview given to Madame Figaroshe confided: “Like everything provincial who dreamed of Paris, I know how to appreciate it. Also because I have a privileged life there…”.

“My life is here and, with children reaching adolescence and achieving success in sport and the arts, Paris is an opportunity,” she added. Today, the couple has taken up residence in a very chic Parisian apartment.

Jamel Debbouze and Mélissa Theuriau’s apartment, located on the fourth floor of a building on Île Saint-Louis, is an architectural gem in the heart of the capital. This popular address, inhabited by renowned personalities such as Claude Sarraute, Edouard Baer and Daniel Auteuil, offer to the Debbouze-Theuriau family a luxurious and secure cocoon.

It’s here, between the walls full of history from Ile Saint-Louis, that Jamel, Mélissa and their children Lila and Léon share precious moments away from prying eyes. The journalist had already lived in a sublime Parisian apartment before. In a magazine interview Sheshe declared: “I live in the 3rd arrondissement with my lover who works on TV, too. He is in the process of setting up his production company. In the evening, when I come home, I drink a glass of very good wine with him, and it’s bliss. I live in a Haussmann apartment, near the Square du Temple. There are two beautiful fireplaces, it’s very big, too big for two, it’s almost indecent.”

However, their life is not only urban. In 2013, Jamel Debbouze undertook the construction of a sumptuous property in edge of the Maurepas national forest, near his parents’ home.

This project, which aimed to offer his family a Safe Haven far from the hustle and bustle of the city, unfortunately did not come to fruition due to legal constraints. Since then, the ruined house of Jamel Debbouze in Yvelines has remained unfinished, unfortunately falling prey to squatters and graffiti.
