A selection for young audiences, heritage cinema with a tribute to André Cayatte through Karim Ghiyati’s cinema lesson and a good family comedy are on the program for this last day of the made in aqui cinema festival!
From 11 a.m.special selection for young audiences with Pat and Mat: “A last turn of the screw”, program of five short films (free for under 14s).
2 p.m. “Slocum and I” by Jean-François Laguionie in preview. François recounts his childhood and in particular his relationship with his adoptive father, nicknamed Slocum, who wanted to build a reproduction of Captain Joshua Slocum’s ship in his garden. The film was presented at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival and in competition at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival.
4 p.m. Tribute to André Cayatte with the screening of Lovers of Verona with Serge Reggiani, Anouk Aimée and Pierre Brasseur. As an introduction, the cinema lesson presented by Karim Ghiyati, director of Occitanie Films will bring together Laurence Turetti, historian and author of the dictionary “Fifty Aude personalities who made History”, Sandrine Mercier and Juan Hidalgo who are in the process of making a documentary dedicated to to André Cayatte and Béatrice De Pastres Collection Director at the CNC.
