The first day of President Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi’s official visit to was devoted to parliamentary diplomacy. The Congolese head of state had meetings, extended to his collaborators, with Gérard Larcher, president of the French Senate.

Surrounded by the president of the France-Central Africa friendship group, Guillaume Chevronnier and Ms. Sophie Primas, vice-president of the Senate and delegated president for the Democratic Republic of Congo, the President of the Republic explored several perspectives of cooperation within the framework of parliamentary diplomacy, reports the Congolese Presidency.

At the French Assembly, President Tshisekedi had discussions with Ms. Yaël Braun-Pivet, President of the Lower House of the French Parliament, still on deeper parliamentary cooperation.

During these hearings, the President of the Republic was accompanied by the Deputy Prime Minister of Foreign Affairs Christophe Lutundula, the former Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of the Economy Vital Kamerhe, candidate president of the National Assembly and members of his cabinet.

This Tuesday, April 30 at 1 p.m., President Felix-Antoine Tshisekedi will be received by his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron.
