To see the start of the race, you will have to be early. The boats’ exit from the port of La Trinité sur mer towards the starting line is scheduled for 8 a.m. Saturday May 4. The warning signal for the start of the tour of Belle-Ile will sound at 9:55 a.m. To ensure you don’t miss anything of the show, we have grouped together the best locations for admiring the approximately 300 ships that will make up the parade.
The tip of Conguel
Located at the south-eastern end of the Quiberon peninsula, the Pointe du Conguel is the ideal location to not miss a moment of the parade. For the small loop, we recommend going between Port-Haliguen and Pointe du Conguel in Quiberon. And for the big loop, sit between the main beach and Pointe du Conguel. It is possible to park all along the point.
La Trinité-sur-mer
From La Trinité-sur-mer, we recommend three places. Right in the middle of the port of La Trinité, the Caradec mole will give you a good place to admire the boats. Along the port channel, we also recommend the customs officers’ path. Finally, the tip of Kerbihan will offer you a nice view of the boats in the bay of Quiberon.
Belle-Ile-en-Mer
From Belle-Ile-en-Mer, whether to follow the small or large loop, we recommend that you go to Pointes de Kerdonis and Ramonette.
Just to see the competitors in the big loop, you can go to Pointe des Poulains and the Aiguilles de Port Coton.
