A serious accident occurred this Monday, April 29 around 10 a.m. A car caught fire on the A31 motorway, in the Rouvres-en-Plaine sector (Côte-d’Or), reports France Bleu Bourgogne.
The fire broke out After a collision with a truck carrying medicines. The three people who were inside the car, a woman and her two children, were transported to Dijon University Hospital. The truck driver was unhurt.
18 firefighters mobilized
After this accident, traffic was impacted in the Nancy-Beaune direction. Traffic has since resumed but the right lane is still out of traffic.
In total, 18 firefighters intervened with a fire van to put out the flames which completely destroyed the car. A road emergency vehicle, two ambulances and a command vehicle were also mobilized for this operation.
