Heung-min Son could be a doubt for Tottenham’s trip to Manchester United in the Premier League on Sunday.
Tottenham Hotspur beat Qarabag FK with a 3-0 Europa League victory on Thursday night, despite being reduced to 10 men for most of the match.
Spurs were forced to play with a man down after Radu Dragusin, replacing the suspended Cristian Romero, was shown a red card after seven minutes.
It was another good way for Ange Postecoglou’s men to prepare for Sunday’s trip to Old Trafford, where they will face Manchester United in the Premier League.
United come into the match after two consecutive draws. The latest came on Wednesday evening in the Europa League against FC Twente as Erik ten Hag’s side lost a one-goal lead against his former club.
Tottenham worry about injuries ahead of Manchester United trip
Heung-min Son’s curling effort which was saved by the Qarabag goalkeeper was rebounded by Dominic Solanke, making it 3-0.
However, Son appeared to be injured during the game after stopping and requiring treatment before being removed.
The South Korean captain was replaced by Timo Werner in his place.
Tottenham are expected to provide an update on Son in the coming days before traveling to United in the Championship for Sunday’s big game.
