At the end of a race controlled by the peloton, Arnaud De Lie won his second Famenne-Ardenne Classic in a sprint. The Lotto-Dstny runner is thus preparing his return to competition, having suffered from health problems caused by Lyme disease. He is ahead of Axel Zingle and Maxim Van Gils.

What a return! Absent for more than a month and Ghent-Wevelgem due to health problems, Arnaud De Lie was strongest in the sprint this Sunday, at the Famenne-Ardenne Classic.

In the last of three 24 kilometer laps around Marche-en-Famenne, some runners including Riley Sheehan ( Premier-Tech), winner of - 2023, tried their luck. The 23-year-old American went out 17 kilometers from the finish. Maxim Van Gils (Lotto Dstny) and Lorenzo Jota (Intermarché-Circus-Wanty) did the job to control.

Fifteen kilometers from the finish, a group of five strong people was at the front, made up of these three runners, Louka Matthys (Bingoal WB) and Gianlucca Brambilla (Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team). But they didn’t get along and the platoon returned.
