Three cyclists, a motorcyclist and a scooter rider injured in the streets of Reims

On Tuesday, September 24 at 8 a.m., a 25-year-old motorcyclist riding on Rue Camille-Lenoir overtook a line of cars as the first one was turning left onto Rue Clicquot-Blervache. He hit it, fortunately without serious consequences: slight bruises to one leg, no transport to the CHU.

That same day at 11am, an Audi A3 knocked over an electric bike at the intersection of Avenue du Général-Giraud and Boulevard Henry-Vasnier, in front of Les Crayères on the cycle path. Thrown to the ground, the 63-year-old cyclist suffered a bleeding wound to the head.

No insurance but headphones

The day before, Monday, at 5:15 p.m., a 15-year-old cyclist hit a car that was braking at a red light on Rue Payen. The result: a bump to the head and a broken tooth.

An hour later, under the eyes of the municipal police, a 17-year-old cyclist drove at full speed into the roundabout at Place Max-Rousseaux where he hit the back of a Twingo. Injured in the hip and elbow, he was fined for wearing headphones (135 euros fine).

On Sunday, September 22 at 11 p.m., a scooter rider was slightly injured when he hit a Toyota on Avenue du Maréchal-Juin. He was also fined for lack of insurance (the fine is 3,750 euros).
