Zapping World Cup 15 2024 6 Nations Calendar
In the first half, Union Bordeaux-Bègles offered us a superb offensive festival, with five tries scored. There was a double from Penaud, a double from Bielle-Biarrey and a try from Jalibert which allowed UBB to take the lead at the break with a score of 31-17. The Ciel et Blanc limited the damage a little with two tries but the game was very clearly dominated by the locals.
The show continues in the second half
Bordeaux decided not to slow down, as a new try was scored in the 46th minute and another three-quarter player distinguished himself: Depoortère (38-17). The festival continued as Bielle-Biarrey scored a hat-trick in the 55th minute (45-17). There was not much going well for the Ciel et Blanc, who were messing around too much with their ammunition. But in the 60th minute, after a foul by Gray on the ground, the visitors got a line-out in their favour. Woki tried to force his way through, with success. Another try by Racing 92 (45-22).
With 10 minutes to go in the match, the Racingmen were reduced to 14 after the yellow card against Arundell, guilty of a high tackle. The last try by the Parisians struggled to make us forget their very average game, with quite a few fouls in this second half. And the UBB punished this numerical inferiority without waiting, with a new try from Penaud. A hat-trick for each Bordeaux winger! But Bordeaux would also finish with 14 after a red card against Swinton who turned over an opponent who landed on his head. And watch out because just after, Racing 92 scored a new try through Le Bail (52-29), who would be imitated by Daymani (52-34).
Bordeaux’s offensive bonus is not yet threatened, but be careful… And if Racing 92 tries to make their opponents lose this precious point, Yannick Bru’s men will have learned their lesson and will not allow the Ciel et Blanc to score again. Very nice bonus victory for Bordeaux at home (final score: 52-34).
To summarize
In the first half, Union Bordeaux-Bègles offered us a superb offensive festival, with five tries scored. And it continued in the second half, which gives a bonus victory for UBB and a nightmare evening for Racing 92.
