MotoGP Misano 2 Day 2: Bagnaia, Martin and Bastianini talk to you from the Sprint podium

The Emilia Romagna Grand Prix lived up to all expectations. Under the Misano sun, Pecco Bagnaia delivered a masterful performance to win in front of his home crowd. After a thrilling race in which Jorge Martin led for a long time, it was ultimately the Italian who seized his chance. A mistake by the Pramac driver opened the door for Bagnaia, who did not let the opportunity to move back up to the top of the championship pass him by. With this victory, the gap between the two men is reduced to just four points, promising a thrilling end to the meeting tomorrow, Sunday.

Here are the statements from the men on the podium of this
course Sprint
.

Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati/1er) : « I tried everything to be able to be 100%. Fortunately, I managed to do it. I didn’t get off to a good start again. Overtaking Jorge was very difficult. Because of his mistake, I took the lead. After that, everything was easier for the front tire. The pace was incredible today. Two weeks ago it was incredible to run in 1’31.2. Now we are running faster and faster.
I am very happy. Thanks to my team, who did a fantastic job again, and to all the fans who are here with us.
».

Jorge Martin :
« when i got the runway limits warning i made this little mistake that was crucial »

Jorge Martin (Pramac-Ducati/2e) : «
I couldn’t stay focused. When I got the track limits warning, I made this little mistake that was crucial to losing the race.
If I had stayed in front, I would have had more opportunities. But ‘Pecco’ was unstoppable today. Tomorrow I might be a little stronger. Maybe we will find something to win again.
».

Enea Bastianini (Ducati/3e) : « My rhythm was wonderful, but ‘Pecco’s’ was even more so.
I am happy with this sprint. The hardest part for me is always the first laps, but I was confident that I could close the gap. But it didn’t work. The other two drivers attacked at full speed. We will see tomorrow if I can do more. I am happy with today.
».

The trio will meet on the track for a Grand Prix which will take place this Sunday from 13h00.
