Autos

The Retromobiles Limousin club, in partnership with Les Amis de Bellegarde (Limoges), is organizing a free exhibition of vintage cars from 1920 to the 1990s on Sunday, September 22, starting at 9 a.m., on rue des Landes in Bellegarde (École de la Calendreta). At noon, a country meal is organized by Les Amis de Bellegarde, by registration. In the afternoon, departure for a tourist ride of approximately 25 km towards the Château de Bort in Saint-Priest-Taurion. Sunday, September 22, from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., the Moto club pays Arédien is organizing its motocross at Cheni in Saint-Yrieix-la-Perche. Several events are planned: enduro cross, MX Open motorcycles, Nouvelle-Aquitaine league championship of vintage motorcycles. Prices: €5, free for under 12s.

Heritage

The Richebourg mill, in Saint-Jean-Ligoure (between Châlucet and Saint-Jean), opens its doors on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 September from 9 am to 7 pm as part of the European Heritage Days. In addition to the guided tour of this former kaolin factory built in 1709, the programme for this weekend includes an exhibition of paintings and drawings by Jean-Paul Sportiello. A mini-market of local producers and artisans, a refreshment bar and musical entertainment will liven up these two days (picnics possible on site). Free entry.

Ecomuseum

As part of the European Heritage Days, the History and Archaeology of the Pays de Châlus association invites you to visit the Châlus ecomuseum which will be open on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 September from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Musique

– Saturday, September 21, Nychel’Sax concert at 4 p.m. at the Séchaud chapel in Châlus. A musical entertainment with Pierre Delgoulet on saxophone, tenor, tales, Jean-Louis Champagne on nyckelharpa (traditional stringed musical instrument of Swedish origin) and diatonic accordion, hurdy-gurdy. Free concert.

– Campestris 87 is a vocal ensemble that sings a cappella and whose repertoire is rather focused on the Renaissance and Baroque periods, but which can also make some incursions into other periods. It will perform on Sunday, September 22 at 5 p.m. in the Saint Eutrope church in Janailhac.

Storytelling walk

A narrated walk to the ponds of Crouzeix de Feytiat and the discovery of the place called Le Chatenet is offered to heritage lovers on Saturday, September 21 from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Jean-François Vignaud, from the Institute of Occitan Studies of Limousin, will lead participants to discover the riches of this site and will tell the stories of these places. History

Historian Vincent Brousse will hold a conference on Saturday, September 21, at 4 p.m., at the Marceau third-place in Limoges, on the assassination of Sadi Carnot in 1894. He will discuss the political and social context of his election, the emergence of the neighborhood, porcelain and the army, the industrialization of Limoges and the major republican laws. Escape game

An escape game “Back to History” will take place on Saturday, September 21 at the Georges-Brassens space in Feytiat; the goal: to help Maryse Bastié, lost in our time, to return home. To do this, you will have to solve puzzles by traveling through time and the different eras of Feytiat’s heritage.
