The opening day of the UEFA Champions League turned into a nightmare for Feyenoord, who suffered a heavy 0-4 home defeat to Bayer Leverkusen. The match marked Ramiz Zerrouki’s first start of the season in the competition, and also the Champions League debut for youngster Hadj Moussa, but it was marred by a team performance that fell well short of expectations.

From the first minutes, the difficulties of Feyenoord were felt.
