Time for the big premiere. Stade Brestois will play its very first Champions League match this Thursday, September 19, against the Austrian team Sturm Graz (9 p.m.), at the Roudourou stadium in Guingamp.
The Finistériens have already had a taste of Europe, with the trip to PSG on Saturday (3-1 defeat), in the intensity and the level of the matches which await them in the continental competition.
“I hope Sturm Graz will not be as strong as PSG, said coach Eric Roy. I’m not sure, it’s a team that plays in Europe every year, that has much more experience than us. Even if I consider that it’s a match that should be playable for us.”
An identical composition to that against Paris?
Facing the Austrian champion, Brest are not leaving defeated and hope to succeed in their first steps on the continental scene.

Eric Roy is expected to return the same team as against Paris for this big debut. It should be noted, however, that Romain Faivre is back, after missing the match in the capital, while Romain Del Castillo missed the start of training on Wednesday.
