Télévie, a charitable event for the benefit of cancer research, raised 12,239,019 euros in donations at the end of the 2024 campaign and the closing evening at the Tournai Xpo on Saturday evening.

French singer Matt Pokora was the honorary godfather of this 36th edition of Télévie. Other artists, such as Eddy de Pretto, Mentissa, Mosimann and Mustii in particular, supported this edition.

This year, more than 600 activities were organized, or 10% more than in 2023.

Télévie was placed under the theme of “Champions” for this edition. The objective was to highlight the courage and resilience of people fighting cancer by drawing a parallel with the athletes who will compete this summer in Euro football and the Olympic Games.

As for the Scientific Research Fund (FNRS), 170 funding requests for new projects were submitted. A jury is already working on their evaluation and will decide on May 27, said the Secretary General of the Fund, Véronique Halloin.

Last year, more than 11 million euros were donated to the FNRS. They had made it possible to finance 88 projects and 95 scientists.
