“Thank you Dorothée”: an event evening on TF1 to celebrate the idol of children from the 80s and 90s

A tribute to the “Club Dorothée” years

Hosted by Nikos Aliagas, the tribute will especially trace the “Club Do” years and their cocktail of sketches, songs, charitable operations, mainly Japanese cartoons like “Dragon Ball” and rose water series (“Hélène and boys “,” first kisses “…) produced by AB Productions, the group founded by Jean-Luc Azoulay and Claude Berda. Jacky and Patrick Simpson-Jones who, alongside Ariane Carletti and François Corbier now died, accompanied Dorothée to the presentation.

They answered present, just like Bernard Minet, member of the group Les Musclés and singer of cult generics, or many figures of sitcoms. In addition, there are other celebrities (Nolwenn Leroy, Amir …) who came to show him their affection, in particular by interpreting some of his hits.

Dorothée never imagined the extent of her shows

His programs nevertheless suffered many criticisms, especially for the violence of his Japanese cartoons, who have since contributed to making France the second consumer of manga behind Japan. As soon as there is novelty, “everyone is criticized”, sweeps Dorothée, even “if it is always worth being criticized for something in what we believe”.

Not resentful towards TF1, she claims not to have “thought at all” at the brutal stop of the club Dorothée decided by the chain almost thirty years ago, against a background of conflict with producer AB.

Dorothée will unveil a new song

More generally, she regrets the absence of “human relay” in current youth programs, “cartoons with cartoons”, according to her, very often devoid of animators.
