Juve infects the Goddess

Kolo Muani arrives, and in the meantime Juve scores thirteen. In the sense of draws in 20 games, which is understandable why there is such urgency in the transfer market. It ended as usual, therefore, with Thiago Motta’s team in the stands due to the post-derby disqualification – unable to manage the result against an Atalanta that was certainly not always as brilliant as usual. But Juve is the best it can be, which calls Giuntoli to overwork.

In short: not everything works on the pitch, even if in the end you have fun. The first half is confused and unhappy for a long time, because while waiting for an attacker who is not there this time too (and Vlahovic’s absence is compounded by the nostalgia of Conceicão), the Juventus coach observes his liquid football which sways search for a possible ball. And so: while the Goddess tries but only collects a shot from Lookman saved by Di Gregorio, Juve defends with 11 men behind the ball, and then tries to rummage through something in attack by trying to turn the ball over. So the protagonist obviously ends up being Koopmeiners, who on the eve had optimistically said to expect some applause from his former fans, and who instead was buried by a roar every time he touched the ball. And certainly the slippery move with which he sends the ball out the only time he manages to free himself from the opposing defense does not do justice to the price of his summer price tag. Yet he tries, and he doesn’t even play badly, and if we go to half-time without a goal it’s because when around him they try to raise the pace, the attempts of McKennie, Nico Gonzalez and Yildiz right on the whistle which leads to the hot tea of Duties, they only boo Carnesecchi. Who makes the most difficult save on a cross from the Turk which becomes dangerous because no one touches it. But the signal is clear.

And in fact: the second half begins with Gasperini hands in his pockets in search of a less faded Atalanta who instead finds a more convinced Juventus. In the absence of strikers, the hero becomes Kalulu, an all-round defender who first hits the post with his head from a corner (with Carnesecchi taking the ball out on the line two centimeters from the goal) and then enters the left lane to finally find the net. It’s the goal that changes everything, especially because it convinces Gasp to change: first Samardzic enters, then also Bellanova and Retegui. Finally the real Atalanta.

And while Juve forced themselves to retreat, it was the Italian-Argentine who found the strike in the middle of the area which rewarded the Bergamo siege.

In short, the usual story, which does not change because the substitute Zaniolo eats up the lead, but above all because in injury time Yildiz again finds the wrong diagonal only in front of the goal. Who knows if Kolo Muani will be enough at this point.
