UEFA draw master Giorgio Marchetti explains the rules of the draw.

The actual draw of the groups is getting closer.

Maddli is named after Madeleine Boll, the first licensed footballer in Switzerland.

“Studies have shown that such a tournament can greatly promote women’s football in the host country. I hope this tournament becomes a multiplier. We have a lot of good players who have made a breakthrough in recent years. The number of licensed players is to be doubled. If I were ten years younger, I would give everything to be able to take part in this tournament.”

These are Basel, Bern, Geneva, Thun, Sion, Lucerne, Zurich and St.Gallen.

Not mental stress, but musical stress. The French-speaking Swiss rapper opens the show in Lausanne.

“There is still a lot of excitement at the moment, but we are of course very excited. Towards the end of the year everything slows down a bit, but then the preparation continues straight away. Everything has to start now. We are in very close contact with UEFA and have given updates from various areas. Time flies, there is always a lot to do and not everything is predictable, such as what the condition of the pitches will be in summer. But we’re well staffed, I’m not worried it won’t be great. I don’t have any ideal opponents.”

Former Arsenal striker Ian Wright and Annette Fetscherin from SRF will moderate the event. Xherdan Shaqiri, Lara Dickenmann, Leonardo Bonucci, Sami Khedira and Raphaël Varane are among the football personalities who have been invited.
