Ligue 1, the terrible stats of Luis Enrique and PSG

Paris Saint-Germain faced AJ Auxerre on Friday for the 14^e day of Ligue 1. A new match which ended in a draw for the Parisians who have not won in three matches (0-0). Things are getting even more complicated for Luis Enrique and his men with the new worrying figures achieved against the Burgundians.

The alarming figures of Luis Enrique and PSG in Ligue 1

Four days before a dangerous clash in the Champions League against RB Leipzig, PSG still cannot win. The capital club has just gone three consecutive games without a victory. Defeated by Bayern Munich in C1 (1-0), Luis Enrique's men came up against Nantes (1-1) in Ligue 1 before stalling again against AJA on Friday (0-0). Results which however contrast with the appearance of Paris Saint-Germain's matches which had nevertheless broken possession records (84%) against Nantes. After the draw against the Canaries, it was another offensive performance far from enviable which was delivered by the Ile-de-France residents on Friday against Auxerre. If they came across a great Donovan Léon, author of 11 saves, Luis Enrique's men confirmed their bad luck on the offensive level. The statistics are also alarming for PSG who scored 11 shots out of a total of 24 without finding the fault.

A first in a Ligue 1 match since Opta started collecting data in 2006. The 73% possession and 671 passes compared to 248 for Auxerre were therefore not of much use for the Parisians. Figures which sink Luis Enrique, already prey to an internal crisis as well as criticism in the media. The Statsdufoot account, taken up by RMC Sport, reveals in particular that the Asturian technician has only won 63% of his matches in official competition (42-72) since his arrival in the summer of 2023. Which represents the lowest ratio of victories for an Ile-de-France coach since a certain Antoine Kombouaré in 2011 (46%).

In addition, this is the first time that Paris Saint-Germain has not found the net in a Ligue 1 match since 1^is last March and a draw against Monaco (0-0). Statistics which do not inspire great confidence before the Champions League clash against Salzburg with a PSG (25^e4 pts) back to the wall on the continental scene.
