USMA and CSC ready to shine this Wednesday

The two Algerian representatives in the Confederation of African (CAF) Cup, namely USM Alger and CS Constantine, will begin their adventure in this continental competition this Wednesday, facing, respectively, Orapa United (Botswana) and CS Sfaxien.

Having already won this trophy in 2023, theUSM Alger begins its journey in this competition by welcoming an “unknown” team on the African level, namely Orapa United. The latter discovers the group stage and the continental competition for the first time since Alger.

Facing them, an experienced Algerian team whose players represent an asset to negotiate this first meeting well. L'USMA aims to go far in this CAF Cupwhile currently sharing 2nd place in the ranking of the Ligue 1 Mobilis with the MC Algertotaling 16 points after ten days.

As for Orapa Unitedthe club occupies 7th place in the Botswana championship after six days, seven points behind the leader Mochudi. The team led by the Bulgarian Dimitar Pantev hope to surprise theUSMAbut the Tunisian coach Nabil Maâloul and its players absolutely want to start this campaign well.

L’USMA must avoid any missteps at home, at the risk of complicating their progress in this group phase. The technical staff will have to resolve the team's offensive difficulties to maximize its chances of success.

The CSC in difficulty in Tunis

For the CS Constantinethe other Algerian representative, the task promises to be difficult to Tunis facing the CS Sfaxiena formidable opponent considered a serious contender for the title.
