With overcast weather over a large part of the territory and falling temperatures, autumn is well established in France. Météo-France has placed a department on yellow alert for storms.
Residents of this department are urged to exercise caution. Temperatures have dropped significantly, and the sky has been well overcast over the northern half of France for several days. For the day of Tuesday, Météo-France has placed one department on yellow thunderstorm vigilance, but also many others on yellow vigilance for wind, rain-flood, waves-submersion, avalanches and floods.
Only Pas-de-Calais is subject to yellow alert for thunderstorms. This alert begins tonight and should be lifted tomorrow at 6 a.m.
Pas-de-Calais residents will have to be vigilant, since their department is affected by four other vigilances.
In all cases, Météo-France warns against usual phenomena of varying intensity, which can be occasionally and locally dangerous.
It is strongly recommended to keep informed of developments in the situation throughout the day.
