The Caetano storm has left the country. But its consequences are still notable.
This Friday at 10 a.m., Météo France maintained orange vigilance in 24 departments: Manche, Calvados, Seine-Maritime, Mayenne, Orne, Eure, Val d'Oise, Yvelines, Paris, Seine-et-Marne, Essonne, Aube, Yonne, Nièvre, Haute-Marne, Côte-d'Or, Vosges, Haute-Saône, Doubs, Haut-Rhin, Territoire de Belfort.
Until 12 p.m.
“At the back, the very clear refreeze is well in place, making the roads particularly slippery, where the snow fell yesterday. A few showers of snow or mixed rain and snow are still circulating in the morning near the Channel towards the Island of France”specifies Météo France in its 10 a.m. bulletin. “However, temperatures are starting to return to positive in Normandy and Ile de France”.
The orange alert lasts until 12 p.m. this Friday, knowing that a few centimeters of snow could still fall in the regions concerned.
Up to 8 centimeters of snow fell on the plains, 20 centimeters occasionally on the heights.
In Corsica, the wind calmed down after peaks recorded at 180 km/h north of Cap Corse.
