without convincing, Ireland comes out on top against a valiant Argentina team

On its lawn this Friday evening, the XV du Trèfle narrowly beat Argentina (22-19) despite a clear domination in the first period.

With three tries scored in the first period by Crowley (4th), Hansen (6th) and McCarthy (32nd), the Irish undoubtedly thought that this Friday evening's match against Argentina would be easy. This was without taking into account the valor of the Pumas and the unusual excitement of the Irish, muddled and uninspired. On its lawn, the XV du Trèfle suffered but came out on top against the Argentinians (22-19).

Another problem of the evening on the Irish side: indiscipline. The locals were penalized… 13 times (!) and received two yellow cards (Bealham and McCarthy). The Pumas took advantage of this and scored a try shortly after the second half resumed by 's Juan Cruz Mallia (45th).

Cruel forward

Led in particular by the excellent Gonzalez and Oviedo (player from ), the Argentines even had the winning ball at the end of the game but committed a forward attack just over five meters from the Irish goal .

A week after its defeat against the All Blacks (13-23), Ireland was not reassured. Argentina may have regrets but will have stood up to one of the best nations in the world. As a reminder, the Pumas will face the XV of next Saturday (9:10 p.m.) at the Stade de France.
