EXCLUDED Sport, nutritionist, new life in London… Indira Ampiot (Miss 2023) ready for Miss Universe

After being elected Miss 2023, Indira Ampiot had given way to Eve Gilles, crowned Miss France 2024. And while the latter is preparing to pass the baton to the next national beauty queen – the election of Miss France will take place next Saturday, December 14 at Futuroscope in – Indira Ampiot is participating in another even larger competition, that of Miss Universe. Near Purepeoplethe 20-year-old former Miss Guadeloupe talks about this new challenge and takes the opportunity to tell about her physical, moral and other preparations.

How did you prepare for the election?

The preparation is still continuing now because I think that we should not take a break either. Since the start of the year, I have been taking English lessons. I went to London for six months where I took English lessons every day. Then, I also have a teacher who supports me on the last little details. There is also sports preparation. I had a coach so I did a lot of sport. On the nutrition side, I had a nutritionist who helped me to learn a little about my body and what I can eat easily, which will allow me to be much more comfortable and better in my health. my body. Then, we suddenly had all the videos that we had to prepare for Miss Universe. So what I was able to do was a video that I had to prepare on a cause that is close to my heart. We had several areas, we could choose between health, ecology, children, animals… And so I chose the cause of cancer because it is a cause that speaks to me a little more in relation to fact that it’s something that I was able to defend throughout my year as Miss France.

What was your mental preparation for the event?

The preparation is also, I think, very psychological in the sense that it still takes a little mental effort and I'm lucky to be very well surrounded, whether it's my family, the Miss France company or even my agency. which precisely helps me to be mentally well, to be serene. So there you go, I think that’s it too. The mind plays a lot. It's a preparation that is quite complete, but I'm very happy. There is also the theater class that I almost forgot, the catwalk, it's the walk in heels in fact. But it's not just knowing how to walk in heels, there are also a lot of things that govern, for example, confidence and character. For example in terms of the look, if it's a look that's a bit charming, a look that's a bit serious, charismatic, playful… These are skills that we learn. I'm also very happy about the catwalk, it allowed me to be much more comfortable and on stage, it will also be something that will allow me to be much more confident and I think less stressed.
