Brigitte Macron at the “Star Academy” to denounce harassment at school

The First Lady of spoke with students on the subject of school bullying.

Brigitte Macron went this Tuesday to the Star Academy as part of the week against bullying at school.

Accompanied by Justine Atlan, director of 3018, the unique number for young victims of harassment and digital violence, the First Lady of France spoke with the students on this subject.

Brigitte Macron, who has made the fight against school bullying one of her main interests since 2017, presented to the candidates “several measures put in place to fight against this scourge, such as 3018”.

“When I go to 3018 and I read the violence of the messages (…) I am totally upset,” Brigitte Macron said.

“We are here for you”

“For some, it's a bad moment in their life. For others, it will really leave its mark. They don't want to continue. That's why I'm here with you today. You raise awareness among young, very young,” she insisted.

One of the candidates, Ebony, spoke of harassment of which she was a victim. “This thing has followed me all my life,” she explains, very moved. “I always feel like people don’t like me.”

And added: “We must make people aware of the difference from a very young age. This is when we build ourselves and where the traumas are the most significant.”

“There is one thing that is good: you write,” continued Brigitte Macron. “At the time of your suffering, write it down, (…) you must express it. If you cannot express it to someone, express it to yourself. Know that we are there for you.”

“I hope the message will get through”

The meeting touched the candidates. “I am quite happy that we were able to discuss this subject here at the castle,” greeted Marguerite. “I am aware that we have been watched by a lot of young people. There is a lot of hope.”

“Even if several of us have experienced this up close, in the end, we find ourselves here. We show that after events like this, life is far from stopping. We can bounce back. We just have to talk about it. And that’s important. I hope the message gets across.”

The passage of Brigitte Macron in Star Academyfilmed on Tuesday, was broadcast this Wednesday in the daily newspaper. The First Lady was also photographed with the students of the promotion and Michael Goldmanthe director of the castle.

Two weeks ago, it was Céline Dion who made a brief appearance in the Star Academy to send a message of support to the candidates. The broadcast of this video, previously recorded by the artist, surprised the candidates.
