0-5 OM: the scores of the Olympians!

EXCEPTIONAL

Højbjerg Pierre-Emile 9.0

After two rather failed performances in and during the reception, the Dane was imperial this evening. Associated for the first time with Adrien Rabiot, the former Spurs player dominated the midfield head and shoulders by recovering a countless number of balls. His evening performance was capped by a goal from an assist from Mason Greenwood.

THE TOPS

Greenwood Mason 8.5

Mute in front of goal for four matches, the former Mancunian found the net against Montpellier. Found by Wahi, he easily eliminates his opponent and then deceives Lecomte. He is also a decisive passer for Højbjerg. In the game, he constantly worried his evening opponent, Issiaga Sylla.

Roll Geronimo 8.5

Despite the weakness of the Montpellier team, the Argentine goalkeeper had a few saves to make, notably in the first period on a deflected shot from Arnaud Nordin, where he relaxed perfectly. The 2022 world champion further reassured his defense with his attitude. This is Rulli’s second clean sheet after the one against .

Hari Amine 8.0

After a difficult first quarter of an hour where the Moroccan lost a few balls, Amine Harit quickly gained momentum. He often created gaps within the opposing defense and put his teammates into orbit. He also scored his second goal of the season with a powerful strike from close range. We would like to see this Amine Harit more often. Enzo Sternal replaced him ten minutes from time (79′).

Place Elie 8.0

What if this match launched Elye Wahi’s season at OM? The young striker opened the scoring for his team in the 48th second of play. He was also the decisive passer on Mason Greenwood’s goal. Beyond that, the French international hopeful was invaluable with his back to goal, serving as a point of support for his teammates. Hoping that Wahi continues this momentum. He gives way to Ismael Koné in the 70th minute of play.

Cornelius Derek 7.5

Following on from his start to the season, the Canadian defender continues to pleasantly surprise. Always very good in duels, he multiplied the very high level raises, allowing him to break several lines. His association with Leonardo Balerdi was a real success.

Rowe Jonathan 7.5

Starting for the first time this season, the young Englishman stood out from the start of the match by serving Elye Wahi perfectly with a header. Throughout the match, he constantly worried the opposing defense thanks to his dribbling and speed skills. Also note his off-target shot, close to worrying Benjamin Lecomte in the first period. He will try his luck a few times, without finding the flaw. He gives way to Luis Henrique at the hour mark. A very promising first time in the eleven!

Balerdi Leonardo 7.0

The Marseille captain was put in very little danger by the Montpellier attackers, but nevertheless responded defensively and allowed himself some breakthroughs with the ball. Like Cornelius, he is one of the top players in the match.

Rabiot Adrien 7.0

The French international had his first start this evening in Montpellier. Less visible than Højbjerg, he nevertheless played his role as box-to-box. For a first appearance in Roberto De Zerbi’s eleven, it’s a good performance, but we will expect a little more from him in the weeks to come. He still changes the face of this team a lot.

SATISFYING

Garcia Ulysses 6.5

The Swiss continues to surprise on his left lane by stringing together good performances. If he is sometimes approximate in some of his defensive interventions, the Marseille full-back made a series of climbs and often dangerous crosses into the Montpellier area, including one which hit the mark with a perfect service for Harit on the 2nd goal.

Henrique Luis 6.5

30 minutes, 1 goal from the surface after well following an offensive action at the far post. That’s all we asked of him this evening and he did it well, even if we could hope that he would weigh even more in the game at eleven against ten.

Murillo Amir 6.0

A good entry for the Panamanian in the right defensive lane. Without much adversity, he took advantage of a great ball from Harit to send a cross to the line which, deflected, ended up finding Luis Henrique for the 5th Olympian goal. He participated in the recital.

AVERAGE

Lirola Pol 5.5

Rather neutral performance from the Spaniard who, unlike Ulisses Garcia on the left lane, rarely brought danger to the right. Satisfying match nonetheless for the Spaniard who comes off at the hour mark and is replaced by Amir Murillo position for position.

Kone Ishmael Not rated

Entering when the level of the match had fallen, the Canadian did not show much in 20 minutes on the pitch.

Rongier Valentin Not rated

Entered to finish the match on the right, he held his position.

Sternal Enzo Not rated

A timid entry but it’s very good to have given him around ten minutes in this match.
