OM inflicts a violent football lesson on

Continuation and end of the 8th day of Ligue 1 this Sunday including a duel between HSC and Olympique de on the lawn of the Mosson stadium. The Hérault club was structured in a 4-2-3-1 with Benjamin Lecomte as the last defense behind Falaye Sacko, Becir Omeragic, Birama Touré and Issiaga Sylla. Joris Chotard was placed on sentry duty with Rabby Nzingoula at his side. Further up, Teji Savanier was positioned in support of Akor Adams while Tanguy Coulibaly and Arnaud Nordin took the wings. The Phocaeans opted for a 4-3-3 with Geronimo Rulli in goal. In defense, we found Pol Lirola, Leonardo Balerdi, Derek Cornelius and Ulisses Garcia. The midfield saw the presence of Amine Harit, Pierre-Emile Højbjerg and Adrien Rabiot. Alone at the forefront, Elye Wahi was placed just in front of Mason Greenwood and Jonathan Rowe.

One thing was certain. Marseille supporters had to be on time in front of their television because OM opened the scoring in 45 seconds. Found between the lines, Elye Wahi carried out an oriented control then shifted to the right Mason Greenwood who crossed hard towards the far post to find Jonathan Rowe. The latter headed the ball in front of the goal where Elye Wahi finished (1st). Roberto De Zerbi’s troops were overmotivated from the start of the match. In the middle, Pierre-Emile Højbjerg slipped a ball into the Hérault area for Elye Wahi. The latter’s shot was repelled by Benjamin Lecomte (17th). On the right of the area, Arnaud Nordin played past Ulisses Garcia and crossed towards the near post where he found Akor Adams. The Nigerian’s header went over the frame (23rd). Starting from the left, Jonathan Rowe moved towards the Hérault surface, fixed Falaye Sacko and followed up with a curling shot which passed just above the right corner of Benjamin Lecomte (29th). In the middle, Akor Adams delivered for Arnaud Nordin whose shot was blocked by Derek Cornelius and headed towards the goal. Gerónimo Rulli narrowly pushed back on his crossbar. Akor Adams then struck to the left of the empty, wide-open goal. A huge failure for the latter (34th). Shifted to the left by Adrien Rabiot, Jonathan Rowe split a cross from behind towards the penalty spot. Joris Chotard came close to deflecting the ball which reached Amine Harit. The latter controlled and finished with a shot under the crossbar (36th, 0-2). Following a high recovery from Højbjerg on Tanguy Coulibaly, Amine Harit was served before launching Mason Greenwood. The Englishman accelerated on the right and dropped back for Højbjerg who adjusted Benjamin Lecomte on the left (40th, 0-3).

The football lesson continues

The second act began like the first half. Indeed, the Marseillais were not at all satisfied when they returned from the locker room. Amine Harit shifted Jonathan Rowe to the left. The latter entered the area, provoked and armed a shot. His attempt died in the left net (52nd). In a sequence during which Leonardo Balerdi did a lot of work on the right by entering the area to cross at the near post, Elye Wahi was in a duel with Birama Touré before striking. His shot ended on the right post (55th). In the middle, Elye Wahi brought the ball up and slipped a pass to the right of the area for Mason Greenwood. The latter stared at Birama Touré and provoked before striking. His shot landed on the left of the goal (58th, 0-4). The nightmare was far from over since Stefan Džodić was sent off after being the author of a foul on Amine Harit who was going deep, thus leaving the MHSC at ten (64th). Found on the right by Amine Harit, Amir Murillo overflowed and crossed hard in front of the Montpellier goal. Birama Touré could only deflect the sphere which was victoriously taken by Luis Henrique at the far post (73rd, 0-5).

The bill even almost ended up being a little higher for the Montpellier residents. Indeed, Amine Harit ideally found Mason Greenwood on the right of the area. The latter controlled and finished with a shot which landed on the left of the goal. The goal was nevertheless refused following his offside position (75th). Note the entry into play of the kid trained at the club, Enzo Sternal. In the rankings, OM remains in a good position in 3rd place in the championship, confirming a very good, positive start to the season, while Montpellier is still struggling and is sinking into a major sporting crisis with this worrying 18th and last position. Next weekend, the Phocéens will welcome the rival of Saint-Germain to the Vélodrome for a Classic which will smell like powder, while the Montpelliérans will welcome to the Mosson, during the 9th day of the Italian championship.
