After the victory against (4-2), Saturday evening at the Parc des Princes, Luis Enrique was satisfied with the performance of his men.

-SG did the job on Saturday evening at the Parc des Princes. Under downpours, the Capital club did what was necessary to dominate Strasbourg (4-2) and regain the lead in the Championship. He abandoned it before the international break, following a draw conceded in (1-1), which AS Monaco took advantage of to take the reins. But the Principality club was held in check at the opening of the 8th day, Friday evening, by (0-0) at the Stade Louis-II, and Paris then knew what it had to do to get back in front thanks to to a better goal difference. Faced with a playful Strasbourg team, as they had announced, PSG won by rotating widely, as Luis Enrique likes to do after a truce, and before the Champions League.

Luis Enrique: “The team depended on individuals before, this is no longer the case”

“As with all players and coaches after an international period, it’s complicated. But we achieved our two objectives, namely winning the three points against a very tough rival, who had only lost once so far and was going to put continuous pressure on us by not losing the ball much. We were able to win while preserving some of our players so that they could recover well with the sequence of matches,” underlined the Spanish coach who left Ousmane Dembélé, Achraf Hakimi, Marquinhos and Nuno Mendes on the bench.

We will have noticed that this 6th victory of the season in the Championship was built with 4 different scorers (Mayulu, Asensio, Barcola, Lee). “The objective is to develop the team in the best way. The team depended on individuals before, this is no longer the case, it depends on the team and its way of developing football. What interests me is that everyone participates in attack and defense. The goal is to win titles and play as best as possible,” noted Luis Enrique. Heading now for PSV Eindhoven, who arrive at the Parc on Tuesday for the Champions League, then it will be time to travel to , next Sunday (8:45 p.m.).
