a dance challenge organized for Pink October

As part of Pink October, to support the fight against breast cancer, a dance challenge is organized, in partnership with the city of Saint-Cyr-sur-, on Saturday October 5, 2024, at the Stanichit gymnasium.

Laurence Le Goff, former dance instructor and home nursing assistant, will host the evening which will take place in two stages. From 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., the League Against Cancer will host a self-examination workshop for prevention. Simultaneously, six practitioners will offer well-being massages. In exchange, those interested will be able to place a donation in the League’s piggy bank.

The association Au sein des femmes de Touraine, which individually or collectively supports women suffering from cancer or who have had cancer, and Cleap, which offers cultural and sporting activities for all in Touraine, will be present to support the cause and present their projects.

Introductions to all styles of dance

From 8 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., the evening will start with dance initiations of all styles (zumba, Breton dances, tango, salsa, lindy, etc.) with the participation of volunteer teachers. No level is required to participate. From 11:30 p.m. to 2 a.m., the dynamic Laurence and Virginie will lead the dance in a good mood, assisted by DJ Samouraï DC. They will be keen to involve the public in small, accessible challenges based on dance.

The organizers hope for as many people as in 2022 and 2023. All donations collected will be donated to the Indre-et-Loire League for women with cancer in the department.
