The biggest sporting event of the year in the United States is earmarked for February 9 in New Orleans.
83,000 fans will pack into New Orleans’ Caesars Superdome on Sunday, February, 9 for the 59th edition of the Super Bowl.
The final game of the see will see Philadelphia Eagles face the winners of Kansas City-Buffalo with the Eagles proving too much for the Washington Commanders in the first Conference Championship game on Sunday.
Despite this year’s venue in New Orleans having a greater capacity (83,000) as opposed the 2024 venue (Las Vegas’ 65,000 Allegiant Stadium), game tickets will still be at a premium and it’s inevitable, that the secondary ticketing outlets will have a field-day as fans clamour to secure a pass to the LIX Super Bowl.
Super Bowl ticket distribution
As is the case with the biggest football game of the season, 17% of overall tickets and these are distributed to fans of the participating finalists via ballots.
The NFL retain roughly 25% of tickets for in-house, sponsorship commitments with the home team (New Orleans Saints) set to be given 5% of all tickets. The remaining allocation is shared out among the rest of the NFL teams with the league never revealing the face value of the tickets for the biggest game of the season.
-Despite the names of the finalists only being confirmed on Sunday night, the cheapest ticket right now for the showpiece game on StubHub will already set you back $4,850.
