Diego Martinez valued the point achieved by UD Las Palmas over Osasuna. “I thank and congratulate the players and the fans. When the game was most complicated, with one less and with everything that happened in the second half with all the interruptions, the team has brought out heart, courage and character. It is the determination of a committed team, which went all out to get the point,” said the Galician coach.

His words after this Friday’s 1-1:

“This tie can taste like a victory, even if it is only one point. There are things that are not measured with points. At the game level we were quite good in the initial 10 or 12 minutes. They get into the game, with options for both teams. In the second half so many things happened that emotional management was difficult. But Las Palmas has done it”

“I don’t usually talk about the arbitration issue. The images are there and it is each person’s interpretation” (…) “It is not my place to speak. I respect the refereeing establishment. “They are decisions that are made and must be respected.”

“When it was most difficult, we reacted again, responded. It is an intangible that speaks very well of the team. “We have to constantly reinvent ourselves”

“I haven’t been able to talk to Essugo; They have been moments of great emotion. It is true that you have made a serious mistake. He is a young, honest and noble boy; but in that action he was wrong. All these actions influence the continuity of the team” (…) “In the final stretch we had several opportunities (he lists them). The point we have achieved is going to be very important for the future, with many adversities against us”

“We always try to give the best of ourselves. We have to continue working hard. “I believe in this team because of the demonstration they have given.”

“It was not easy to go out like Pelmard did, with defense of three. It gave us energy. His debut was not easy, because they played everything for everything against us. “He has responded well, he has shown a lot of personality”
