Sports context before AJA-ASSE

Current ranking

Auxerre currently occupies 11th place in the championship with 22 points obtained in 18 matches. For its part, ASSE is struggling in the second part of the table, positioned in 16th place with 17 points, also in 18 matches.

Recent form

  • Auxerre is going through a complicated period. During its last trip, the Burgundian club conceded a 2-0 defeat (or draw) against SCO . The Auxerrois have not tasted victory since November 24, 2024, when they won 1-0 against Angers. Since then, they have had a series of seven matches without successconsisting of three draws and four defeats in all competitions.
  • Despite this bad patch, Auxerre has a solid record at home and is among the four best teams in the championship on his land.
  • THE AXISfor its part, held to a draw (1-1) at home during the previous day, but is still looking for consistency to move away from the relegation zone.

A reduced workforce for ASSE

Coach Eirik Horneland will once again have to deal with numerous absences, between injuries and suspensions, forcing the staff to make last minute adjustments.

For this trip to Auxerre, ASSE will be deprived of several key elements:

  • Ibrahim Wadji : forfeit due to persistent physical relapses.
  • Ibrahim Sissoko : suspended, he will have to serve two additional matches before being able to return to the field.
  • Thomas Monconduit : still convalescing after a summer injury, he has not played a single minute since the start of the season.
  • Louis Mouton et Benjamin Bouchouari : suspended for accumulation of yellow cards.
  • Yvann Maçon : although he is in recovery, he will not be lined up for this match.

In addition, Aimen Moueffek et Anthony Briançonalready absent against Nantes, are also uncertain for this meeting.
