Today Hurricane Éowyn will move north-east across the north-west of the British Isles. We only get a graze shot. The associated rain area moves across the country.
This morning it is cloudy and a large area of rain is moving across the country from the west. Soon in the morning it is wet everywhere. The rain is followed by milder air.
Wind increases
The southerly wind increases in the morning and becomes quite strong, even strong to strong along the coast (wind force 5 to 7). In the northwestern coastal area the wind can become stormy (force 8) at the end of the morning.
This afternoon it will remain cloudy and there will be rain. During the afternoon the rain area will move towards Germany. The wind gradually decreases during the afternoon. The afternoon temperature is around 9 degrees, which is mild for January.
-Tomorrow it will be cloudy and rainy. In the afternoon the rain will gradually move east, although this may take some time along the eastern border. The maximum temperature is between 6 and 7 degrees. The southwest wind remains weak to moderate, with moderate to fairly strong winds in the northern coastal area.
Clearances will follow in the evening and night into Sunday and it will remain dry everywhere. The wind will decrease and local fog or a fog bank may develop. The temperature drops inland to around freezing point.
