Mariza, Dino D’Santiago and Iolanda will be part of the event’s program, currently “Open your Door”, which will be located on Avenida Central de Braga. The entire day of Saturday will be filled with other activities that will mark the official start of Braga 25, the Portuguese capital of Culture, as per the schedule below.

10:00-20:00: Shopyard Open Studio (Local: Shopping Santa Cruz)

11:00: Opening Ceremony (Location: Theatro Circo, Main Room)

12:00: Chimera (Local: Theatro Circo, Main Room)

17:00: Minho Women’s Singing Group & Calouste Gulbenkian Conservatory of Braga (Location: Adelina Caravana Auditorium)

21:00: Open your Door – Opening Show (Location: Avenida Central)

Four days later, in Guimarães, between January 29th and February 1st, the Square festival will take place, which covers all the municipalities of the Urban Quadrilátero (Braga, Barcelos, Guimarães, Vila Nova de Famalicão). The festival’s program features emerging artists from Portugal and countries on the Atlantic coast, aiming to cement the potential for creation and export of the independent music sector. Guimarães welcomes you on the first day, with Skanderani, Jadsa, Arianna Caselas Y Kauê, comfort and King Kami & João Parente performing in various spaces in the city, between 4pm and 8pm.

In the summer, on July 26th, the Extremo festival will take place in some of the border parishes of the municipalities of Braga and Guimarães.
