Omar Marmoush is leaving Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt with immediate effect and moving to Manchester City.

The transfer had been in the offing for days; in the home game against Borussia Dortmund (2-0), Omar Marmoush was no longer part of the Eintracht Frankfurt squad and said goodbye to the fans. Now Hesse and Manchester City have also agreed on a change after tough negotiations.
The 25-year-old Egyptian signed a contract with the English champions until 2029. According to reports, Man City will pay a transfer fee of 75 million euros plus 5 million euros in bonuses.

Eintracht life insurance
Marmoush scored 15 goals (10 assists) in 17 Bundesliga games this season and thus aroused interest. The striker became Eintracht’s life insurance; just before the season, the crowd favorite had extended his contract until 2027.
“He did a lot for Eintracht Frankfurt and played a big part in our sporting development,” said Frankfurt’s sports director Markus Krösche, “that’s one of the reasons why we complied with his wishes.”
