COLUMBUS, Ind. — Bartholomew County Emergency Management said an area of moderate snow will affect Shelby, southern Rush, southeastern Morgan, Decatur, Johnson, Brown, Bartholomew, south central Marion and northeastern Jackson and Jennings counties this afternoon.

Roads may become slick rapidly in spots, with rapidly varying conditions.

Locations impacted include…Franklin, Greensburg, Morgantown, Newbern, Hartsville, New Whiteland, Beanblossom, Azalia, Manilla, Millhousen, Sandusky, Story, Clarksburg, Burney, Greenwood, Waymansville, Helmsburg, Whiteland, Nashville, and Clifford.

This includes the following highways…
Interstate 65 between mile markers 52 and 101.
Interstate 74 between mile markers 105 and 144.

Icy roads are possible as the snow melts on the roads then quickly refreezes.

Conditions can deteriorate rapidly in winter weather situations. Be prepared for snow or ice covered roads. Slow down and allow extra time when traveling.
