Léna Grandveau, who arrived in Moselle at the start of the season after the bankruptcy of the Neptunes de Nantes, is extending her two-season adventure with Metz Handball.
In a twist of fate, the best player in the 2023 World Cup, rewarded by the IHF, arrived in the Yellow and Blue squad at the start of the season after the Nantes Neptunes had disappeared. Launched into the deep end earlier than expected, Léna Grandveau was able to blend in with a squad of no less than 7 teammates that she rubs shoulders with in Bleues. On the center-half position with Petra Vamos and Alisson Pineau, rather confined to defensive duties, Léna Grandveau will form a very young trio with the arrival of Lylou Borg. With three elements in the lead, it is imaginable to see the 22-year-old also be used on the side positions of the back base, as in the French team.
After securing Sarah Bouktit, Chloé Valentini, Tyra Axner, Petra Vamos, Laura Flippes, Manon Errard and Lucie Granier, the Metz squad is starting to look good for the next two seasons.
-In the club press release, Léna Grandveau was able to express her pleasure in continuing with the Metz club: “In Metz, I have everything I need: the demands, the pleasure, and I can't wait to feel even better on the pitch, because we know the demands and everything that we asks us here. I am sure that I will progress and that my two years will take me even further.
