Ancelotti: Bellingham has a back problem

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti expressed his happiness with his team’s victory against Red Bull Salzburg in the match that brought them together in the Champions League.

Real Madrid decided to defeat its counterpart Red Bull by a score of (5-1), in the match that brought together the two teams in the seventh round of the main round matches in the Champions League.

Ancelotti talked about the level of the players in the match, explaining the condition of the injured and the reason for replacing the duo, Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappe, pointing out the extent of Rodrigo’s influence.

Carlo Ancelotti’s statements

Ancelotti began his speech after the match, in statements reported by the AS newspaper, saying: “We achieved our goal, which was to win, while presenting the match with a good performance. The level was not good at first, but we dealt with the matter well after that.”

He added: “We tried to address the decline in level, as we have amazing effectiveness in the offensive line, and we must improve a number of other things, and I am not angry with the goal that we conceded. We presented a good defensive level.”

He continued: Rudiger was great and we saw the return of Alaba and Asensio in good condition. We are talking about a collective problem, and if we are able to maintain the collective level, we will achieve the desired success and benefit from the superiority we have on the front line.

The Italian continued: “Bellingham was suffering from a back problem, but it was not a major problem, and I had the opportunity to rest him in addition to Kylian Mbappe, whom I preferred to rest to maintain his condition.”

He continued: “We cannot predict the opponent in the next round. We still have a match in the next round and we must win it, and this is not strange for Real Madrid.”

He continued: “Alaba is close to the start of the matches with us. He has played more minutes, but there is no doubt that when he tells me he is ready to start the match, I will give him the opportunity.”

Ancelotti concluded: “Rodrigo certainly deserves to be a starter. He scores in all matches, and we will enjoy his offensive abilities more when we improve defensively.”
