AC Milan resume their Champions League campaign tonight against Girona at San Siro, with a win almost certain to push them into the top eight.

After taking charge of games in the Supercoppa Italiana and Serie A, this will be Sergio Conceicao’s first European foray with Milan, and the mission is simply: win to take another leap up the standings.

The Rossoneri currently have 12 points and a win against Girona – who are in 30th place in the standings – would put them on 15, level with Atletico Madrid who are in third place.
